Honda Cars India Ltd registered monthly domestic sales of 11,177 units in August 2021 against 7,509 units within the corresponding month last year, registering a growth of 49 per cent. On a month on month basis, the corporate registered a growth of 85 per cent as compared to six ,055 units sold in July 2021. Last month, Honda Cars India launched the 2021 Amaze in its new avatar, with the aim of making buzz within the compact sedan segment. HCIL also exported a complete of two ,262 units in August 2021. The export numbers stood at 450 units in August 2020.

Rajesh Goel, Sr. vice chairman and Director, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd said, “Positive sales momentum and overall strong demand helped us to realize good volumes with onset of festive season. The celebratory fervour which began with Onam in Southern India will reach remainder of the markets as we move towards the height of festivities. our greatest seller Amaze, which we launched in its new avatar last month, drove commendable sales volume with 6,591 units and reinforced its position because the most preferred family sedan in India. While we are quite optimistic on demand side going forward, we are carefully monitoring the prevailing supply side issues affecting the industry and any future COVID related disruptions.

Honda Cars exported a complete number of two ,262 units in August 2021 as compared to 450 units within the same month last year, witnessing a growth of 402 per cent. The Honda City and Amaze facelift continued to the strongest volume garners for the japanese carmaker in India.
